## What it is

PitchHighway is a vocal training app built around one promise: **you upload a song, and it generates a personalized journey to learn that song.**

Upload an audio file (MP3) or paste a YouTube link. The backend separates and analyzes the vocals, then builds you two things from that one upload:

1. **The song itself**, playable as a full-song "Highway" run — the notes scroll down the screen and the app scores your singing against them in real time.
2. **A personalized journey** — a multi-level path that teaches that specific song step by step: warmups in the song's key, range stretches for the notes you can't yet hit, phrase-by-phrase drills on the hard passages, and a final full-song run.

Pitch detection is a neural model that runs **on-device** — Core ML on iPhone/iPad, in-browser on the web. Your live voice never leaves your device while you practice.

## Beyond your own songs

- **General journeys** for pitch training that aren't tied to any one song — beginner foundations, voice confidence, and dedicated feminine- and masculine-voice training paths for trans voice work.
- **Practice modes** — note practice, pitch matching, scale runs, interval training.
- **A live coach** — an AI vocal coach in-app that can see your own progress and hand off to a human.
- **A community leaderboard** — one flat global board over a rolling 30-day window.
