# PitchHighway vs Vanido (2026): Vanido appears discontinued, what to use instead Source: https://pitchhighway.com/compare/vanido Site: PitchHighway — learn to sing your favorite songs (https://pitchhighway.com) Updated: 2026-10-15 Summary: Vanido appears discontinued as of 2026-10-15. What it did, how PitchHighway differs, and which kind of app fits former Vanido users. --- Vanido gave you daily vocal exercises fitted to your range. PitchHighway builds a practice journey from a song that you upload. That is the one-sentence difference. But there is a more important fact first: as of 2026-10-15, Vanido appears to be discontinued. The sources are at the end of this page. ## Is Vanido still available? As of 2026-10-15, we found no way to get Vanido: - The App Store page for Vanido (app ID 1130249200) returns "not found", and an App Store lookup returns no result in the US, the UK, India and Germany. - Google Play shows no Vanido app. Press in 2017 reported that an Android app was coming soon, and we found no record that it shipped. - The vendor site, vanido.io, does not load. - AlternativeTo marks Vanido as discontinued and says that it stopped working around 2022. We found no official shutdown notice, so the exact end date is not certain. The rest of this page describes Vanido as it was, from an archived copy of its site and from press coverage. ## The core difference Vanido was an iOS singing-coach app (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) from Vanido Inc. It launched in early 2017. It measured your vocal range and gave you a few exercises each day for breathing, pitch, ear, range and consistency. It fitted each exercise to your range and to your past results, and it showed real-time pitch feedback while you sang. The free tier gave 3 exercises a day, and a paid subscription unlocked the rest. Its site also described a "Sing Favorite Songs" feature: a repetition-based technique powered by Apple Music and Spotify. PitchHighway starts from a song. You upload the song that you want to learn, as an MP3 file or a YouTube link of up to 10 minutes. PitchHighway then builds a journey for that song: warmups in the song's key, drills for the notes that you cannot reach yet, phrase-by-phrase practice, and a full-song run with real-time pitch feedback. It also has general pitch-training journeys and practice modes that are not tied to a song. Thus Vanido was a daily exercise habit. PitchHighway is a plan to learn one song, with general exercises around it. ## Feature comparison | Topic | PitchHighway (as of 2026-10-15) | Vanido (historical) | |---|---|---| | Availability | Available now on iPhone, iPad and in the browser. | Appears discontinued. If you liked what Vanido did, look for its format in an app that is still available: - If you want short daily exercises fitted to your range, with no tie to a song, a technique-training app fits you. Sing Sharp generates exercises inside your measured range and offers multi-week training plans. See [PitchHighway vs Sing Sharp](https://pitchhighway.com/compare/sing-sharp). - If you want a structured course with levels and ear training, Yousician has a singing learning path that educators wrote. See [PitchHighway vs Yousician](https://pitchhighway.com/compare/yousician). ## Who should choose PitchHighway Choose PitchHighway if one or more of these items is true for you: - You want to sing a specific song, and you want the practice to come from that song. - You want warmups in the song's key, drills for the notes that you cannot reach yet, phrase-by-phrase work, and a full-song run that scores every note. - You liked Vanido's daily habit, and you also want a goal. PitchHighway has general journeys and practice modes for daily work, and a song journey as the goal. - You use Android or a computer. Vanido was iOS only. The PitchHighway web app works in a modern browser, including on Android phones. ## Switching from Vanido Expect these differences when you move from Vanido to PitchHighway: 1. You start from a song. Upload an MP3 file or a YouTube link, up to 10 minutes long. There is no large song catalog, but a small built-in set of training songs exists. 2. Processing takes a few minutes. PitchHighway separates the vocal, analyzes it and builds the journey. The app shows the status and tells you when the song is ready. 3. For general practice, the Practice tab has note practice, pitch matching, scale runs, interval training and a guided breathing exercise. Note practice and breathing are always available; the other modes unlock after you map your vocal range. These sessions count toward your daily streak. 4. Make a free account at [pitchhighway.com/register](https://pitchhighway.com/register). You do not need a download. A free browser account currently includes 1 lifetime song upload. 5. The free tools need no account. Try the [vocal range test](https://pitchhighway.com/voice-range), the [vocal warm-up](https://pitchhighway.com/vocal-warm-up) or the [note practice tool](https://pitchhighway.com/note-practice). 6. Premium adds more uploads (up to 5 each day and 50 each month) and all journeys. On iOS, Apple bills the subscription. On the web, Stripe bills it. ## Sources Vanido facts were checked on 2026-10-15.
