# Breathe — a free guided breathing exercise Source: https://pitchhighway.com/breathe Site: PitchHighway — learn to sing your favorite songs (https://pitchhighway.com) ## What it does A free, no-signup guided breathing exercise. A calm visual leads you through slow breaths at roughly **six per minute** — the pace commonly used for resonant/coherent breathing — with optional gentle humming as you exhale. No account, no install. It runs in your browser, and audio is processed **on-device**. ## Why a singing app has a breathing exercise Breath is the power supply for the voice. Sustained notes, steady pitch, and phrases that don't run out of air all come from breath support rather than from the throat. Slowing the breath also settles the nervous system before you sing — useful before a lesson, a rehearsal, or a performance. It's also just a decent standalone calm-down, and plenty of people use it that way. ## Where else it lives Breathe is one of the Practice modes inside PitchHighway (iOS and web), where it's always available and counts toward your daily practice streak. This page is the same exercise, standalone and free. ## What PitchHighway is **You upload a song — an MP3 or a YouTube link — and it generates a personalized journey to learn to sing it.** Warmups in the song's key, drills for the notes you can't yet hit, phrase-by-phrase practice on the hard passages, and a full-song run with real-time pitch feedback as the notes scroll down the screen. **Start free in your browser:** https://pitchhighway.com/register **On iPhone/iPad:** https://apps.apple.com/app/id6758129342 (no Android app; the web app works in Android browsers.) ## Related free tools - Vocal warm-up — https://pitchhighway.com/vocal-warm-up - Vocal range test — https://pitchhighway.com/voice-range - Note practice — https://pitchhighway.com/note-practice
